Anodizing Chemicals and Its Usage

Plating and anodizing chemicals includes metal salts, formula additives, anode materials and other consumables for the electrodeposition or electroplating of the metal films or anodized layer formation.

Electrodeposition is the process which deposits a metal at the cathode from the solution of its ions.

Plating and anodizing chemicals include chrome stripper solutions, immersion plating solutions, as well as brush plating accessories and platinized titanium anode meshes.

Whereas for electroplating applications, plating and anodizing chemicals these include the electrode to be plated, a plating anode to complete the circuit, an electrolyte that contains the metal ions to be deposited, and direct current power source.

Anodizing chemicals and supplies are widely used in electroplating, electrophoretic, electroless plating, metal spraying, and vacuum metallization processes.

Electroplating places the substrate in pot of metallic salt solution and pass an electric current through the container.

Water-based reducing agent without an external electrical source is used in Electroless plating.

Electrophoretic coating processes apply a coating made from an organic resin as a substitute of metallic ions.

Metal spraying is used with high-tensile workpieces that can't be electroplated due to hydrogen embrittlement.

Vacuum metallization minimizes heat transfer and thermal short-circuit in multi-layer applications.

Importance Of Electroplating

Electroplating means deposition of a thin layer of metal to a work piece using an electrolytic process. Electroplating is useful in automotive industry for chrome plating and in electronic industry for optics and sensors. The purpose of electroplating is - appearance, protection, special surface properties and engineering or mechanical properties. All the electroplating finishes are of extremely high quality. Zinc plating, nickel plating, chrome plating and copper plating are just a few examples of CA metal plating chemicals. Nickel coatings have a decorative appearance, corrosion protection, ferromagnetism properties, and wear resistant. The properties of tin coatings are - good appearance, solder ability, nontoxic, corrosion protection, and low friction. The applications of electroplated tin alloys are electronics, semiconductors, food containers, packages, and engine applications. The applications of hard chromium electroplating are industrial rolls, plastic molds, cutting tools,...

Use Of Hard Anodized Aluminum

Anodized aluminum has light weight. It is used mostly for industrial purpose. It is 30% harder than stainless steel. This has a long life span. Even in high heat level the anodized finish will not be damaged because it has a melting point of 1,221 degree f. Aluminum cookware is processed through hard anodized aluminum. It is useful for many industries like automobile industry, commercial cookware, and medical field. This is a bit more expensive than regular anodized aluminum. Anodize can be done at home with the help of sulfuric acid. Hard anodized aluminum is used because it has non toxic finish, cleaned easily, does not wear easily etc. It is available in many colors but mostly black is used. Hard anodized aluminum does not stick on the surface of the cookware. If you have any queries relating to Chicago anodizing chemicals or IL anodizing chemicals just visit our site.

Nickel Plating Chemicals

Nickel has an atomic number of 28. It has 28 protons. The atomic weight of nickel is 58.69, and the chemical symbol is Ni. Nickel is magnetic and does not rust very easily. Nickel is a silver white metal. It is used for many industries like electronics, electroforming and automotive markets. Various benefits of nickel include wear resistance, lubricity, tarnish protection, decorative appearance, surface hardness and corrosion protection. Nickel which is used for engineering purposes is often smooth and dull grey in appearance. These nickel deposits are used for wear resistance, hardness, lubricity and magnetic purposes. Nickel plating chemicals and electro less nickel plating chemicals are available in bright, ultra bright and semi bright. Some products that have nickel in it are rechargeable batteries, coins, welding rods and wires, electronic or computer equipment, and pigments for paints or ceramics, jewellery, kitchen tools and coins. The largest use of nickel is to cast iron a...
